Morocco, in North Africa, has a coast on the Atlantic Ocean and shares its northern border with Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar.  It also shares land borders with Algeria to the east and Mauritania to the south, as well as sharing its borders with three small Spanish-controlled territories (Ceuta, Melilla and Peñón Vélez de la Gomera).  There is a definite air of enchantment to Morocco that you feel from the minute you arrive. Its sands glisten like finely ground gold, exotic souks give off a heady scent of spices and belly dancers dash past you in a whir of colour.
